A chance to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and connect with nature.

Begin your journey with a guided Horse riding experience, led by expert instructor Pauline from City of Derry Equestrian. This ride into the wilderness is a fantastic way to connect with nature and enjoy the panoramic views of Derry, Donegal and beyond. Pauline will keep you entertained with some stories about the landscape and local characters and you trek through the lush green fields of the Faughan Valley to Ardmore and its surrounding forest to Slieve Kirk at the foothills of the Sperrins. Here the open landscape changes dramatically as you enter the forest and the rich sent of pine filters into the fresh country air. With deer and other wildlife roaming the forest, you might even catch a glimpse of something extra special!

After an enjoyable exploring the trails, spend the night in the 4-star White Horse Hotel where you can relax in the hotels Leisure Club facilities before enjoying a 3-course meal with locally produced and traditionally made options prepared by the hotels award winning Chef, Noel Ward. Your meal will be served with a bottle of wine. After dinner, relax in the Lounge bar and experience some local history and Irish Folklore during the Storytelling-Seanchai sessions or get your foot tapping to some traditional Irish music.

After a peaceful night’s sleep enjoy a full breakfast and late checkout (so you can enjoy a final swim or relax in the jacuzzi. As an added treat on check out you’ll be presented with handmade chocolate truffles spiked with local whiskey ‘The Quiet Man’, as a reminder of your trip.
