Let the tidal river take you on a journey - take to the river by canoe, learn about the local area through our river guides who will recount stories and teach you about the local heritage and wildlife. Disembark for a truly unique pop up slow food experience where you will learn how to prepare and cook with fresh local ingredients with professional chef Darren Smith. You will feast on locally sourced Foyle fish and shellfish, vegetables sourced from the Moville Community Garden and homemade breads.

At the start of the day you will meet our qualified guides at the Loughs Agency in Prehen (5 minutes’ drive from the Derry city centre) at 10am where you will be provided with the equipment you need. After a quick change, we will bus or walk to the river where you will be given the necessary safety brief and introduction to the canoes. From here we take to the water allowing the tide to bring us on a relaxing journey along the historic river. Our guides will introduce you to the rich heritage and wildlife of the Foyle. At approx. 1.30pm we will disembark and local chef Darren Smith will be waiting with a pop up cooking experience and lunch using locally sourced Slow Food (dietary requirements can be catered for). We usually finish up at approximately 3.30/4pm where we will transport you back to your starting location.
